Senate Elections 2023-2024

Nominations

From Monday 24 April to Friday 12 May 2023, we invited self-nominations for vacant positions on Senate, the governing body for academic matters at Queen Mary:

  • Three in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Two in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Two in the Faculty of Science and Engineering

This position was open to:

All current academic staff who are appointed to full time or part time posts on either a permanent academic contract or a fixed-term academic contract extending at least two years beyond the point at which the call for nominations is made.

Elections will now run in each of the three faculties as detailed below.

 

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Five self-nominations were received for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and an election will now run from Wednesday 24 May to Wednesday 14 June 2023.

Staff eligible to vote in the election are defined as follows:

All current academic staff within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences who are appointed to full time or part time posts on either a permanent academic contract or a fixed-term academic contract extending at least two years beyond the point at which the call for nominations is made.

All votes must be made using the following link to the online voting system. You must use your QMUL email address to login. Your name and email address will be recorded for tracking purposes only.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Wednesday 14 June 2023. Please note that this deadline will be strictly enforced and no forms will be accepted after this date. Any queries about the election rules and process should be directed to Kaya Wiles

Faculty of Science and Engineering

Six self-nominations were received for the Faculty of Science and Engineering and an election will now run from Wednesday 24 May to Wednesday 14 June 2023.
